We would like to thank everyone for their patience and extra work during this migration period. Stage two migration has been completed. We have finally removed the old Helm system from our environment and moved everyone on to new servers and a new control panel.
*On Friday, we will be disconnecting the old shared and virtual servers permanently from our systems. If you received a "DNS Upgrade Required" email during the migration, please make sure to follow the instructions ASAP. Also, please make sure that you have thoroughly tested your websites and have reported any issues.*
Known Issues:
1) DNS Updates: If you are unable to edit your DNS records using the control panel (you save but the new/edited record doesn't take) please send a quick email to support with the domain(s). There is a formatting inconsistency that happens when we manually edit DNS records manually and when they are created by the control panel. We will be working to correct all in a mass update soon.
2) Web Application Gallery: If you attempt to use the tool to install new software, please note that several applications will not install correctly (e.g. WordPress), while others will work fine. This is due to the implementation in the control panel having issues with applications that require licensing acknowledgement. We hope that this will be resolved in future updates of the control panel. There are two outstanding updates that we plan to make soon. We are happy to help install most common applications.
3) FTP Accounts: All FTP accounts were removed during the migration proves. Please log in and add a new FTP account as needed. Please note, when creating an FTP account the default setting makes your FTP root at the top level of all of your websites. To mimic the previous method of going directly to your domain, please use the Home Folder field and use the drop-down dialog to select the particular website you want to go directly into.
4) Editing Websites in the Control Panel Slow for Shared Hosting Users: While this sounds like a bit of deja-vu it's a different issue than in the previous control panel. Due to the size of the ApplicationHost.Config file on busy shared servers, it tasks a bit of time to parse the file and show your settings. Dedicated and virtual servers are relatively unaffected and are fairly speedy. Please be patient while the site settings load and during subsequent actions e.g. save, changing tabs. We plan to mitigate this some by reducing the size of the file, but ultimately it's due to the OS and may not be repaired until Windows Server 2012.
5) ColdFusion Handler Mappings: When we upgrade the control panel to the latest version some new changes will take place in the way handler mappings (for ColdFusion) are handled. The ColdFusion Wildcard Mapping will be added/removed dynamically as CF extensions are enabled or disabled. This does mean that if ColdFusion was not enabled specifically for your website, but ColdFusion is working, it is because of the default top-level wildcard mapping. When we update the Control Panel the top-level handler mapping will be removed. Whether you specifically enabled CF or not, you will need to disable and re-enable or simply re-enable CF.
6) ColdFusion Datasources (DSNs): Due to the migration process there are many additional ColdFusion datasources that may not belong to the particular server your accounts lives. We are working to clean them up, but it will mean at some point deleting DS that cannot be verified. We will announce this well in advance to make sure that no one loses a CF DSN that they still need.
