Configuring DotNetNuke to Send Email

DotNetNuke's user registration and many DotNetNuke Modules send email to your portal users. In order to allow DotNetNuke to send email, you must configure your SMTP settings. To configure DotNetNuke for your Frankland Hosting email accounts:

  • Naviage to one of your DotNetNuke portals
  • Login to DotNetNuke as a SuperUser / Host account
  • Click on "Host Settings" from the "Host" menu
  • Expand the "Advanced Settings" section
  • Expand the "SMTP Server Settings" section
  • Specify "localhost" in the "SMTP Server" text box
  • Select the "Anonymous" radio button for "SMTP Authentication"
  • Leave the "SMTP Username" and "SMTP Password" blank
  • Click the "Update Link"
