4 possible reasons you are unable to connect to your MS SQL database:
- You are attempting to use the internal IP address when connecting remotely. Use the address that begins: 64.87.xxx.xxx.
- You have not created a database yet or are trying to connect to the database using a different database type. Make sure you use a MS SQL connection tool when connecting to MS SQL and a MySQL connection tool when connecting to a MySQL database.
- You have an incorrect port number specified. Use the standard port numbers.
- You are using an incorrect username and password. Check the username and password from your Control Panel for that domain and database. You may need to reset your password. If so- consider that the web site code or DSN using that password might also break. Change with caution or contact your developer.
